blog{ART} is all about creating unique blog designs for YOU. I create beautiful blogs for anyone, and specialise in photographers blogs, and e-commerce solutions. Custom blog installation and design starts at $250USD. This includes installation of wordpress as your blogging platform, and a gorgeously unique, fabulous blog design that is all YOU - not an adaptation of a theme. Of course I can also customise and adapt any theme that you have your heart set on if you so desire. It is your blog - do what YOU want.

what is the go? (pricing etc.)

Okay – so you want some blog{ART} but you need some more details.  Goodo – here they are!

1. basic (but still gorgeous) blog install

As it says – a basic install – based on my simple ‘perfect for photographers’ template. Super large pictures, cool navigation, spunky looking site.

A few examples – just so you get the general gist:

These all include the following:

  • install of wordpress so you are ready set to go
  • background colour or image
  • standard font colour changes – titles, text and links
  • logo installation
  • static or flash header (you provide the cool images please!)
  • contact form
  • inline and scrolling comments (if you want ‘em!)
  • cool navigation bar (and one at the bottom too – makes it a little more user friendly!)
  • page / post navigation at footer
  • post split graphic (you provide the cool image please!)
  • drop shadow around blog (if you so desire)
  • favicon
  • twitter
  • subscription form with account to feedburner
  • about me area (if you would like one!)
  • 7 days of support after your blog is uploaded – after which a fee will be charged (sorry to get cranky there!)
  • Statistic incorporation (so you can see how cool you are!)
  • search engine optimisation – so you can ‘get cool’!
  • oh – and you get a whole heap of fun thrown in!!!

Sound like fun? It is. The cost (all important questio!!) – a whole $250. Not much really when you think about the advantages of having your own swisho blog that blends in seamlessly and professionally with YOUR look, YOUR business and the most important thing of all – YOU!

2. Super dooper unique blog

Okay – now we are talking super dooper spectacular. These blogs are designed from the ground up. Totally unique and totally YOU. I’ll let the examples speak for themselves:

WOWEE – they are pretty cool – I LOVE them all. All at the super cool price of $400.

That includes all the ‘stuff’ in the ‘basic but still gorgeous’ blog PLUS my creative juices! Yep – you get ‘em in a bottle then use ‘em to create your own blog! No – not really. I will check out your photography site, ask you to send me some links to some sites / blogs you love / things that inspire you / colours that you love etc. I will the use that information to create a mock-up design of what I envisage to be a beautiful blog. Then I share that with you – and we tweak and retweak and retweak again if necessary to create a blog that you LOVE. Then – I get to work and make the design into a blog. Phew – I am dizzy just thinking about it!

3. bits and pieces

Okay – so you already have a blog – OR you want a basic but still gorgeous blog install, and you want to give it that little bit of extra BLING! Let’s talk bits and pieces!

I will add any of these bits and pieces to your current blog (or basic but still gorgeous blog) for $30 each: (10% off for two or more at once!).

Note that there is a $50 administrative fee applicable. Generally each item will take around 30 minutes. Further time will incur a cost in 15 minute increments of $10. You will be notified of any time extensions that may need to occur beforehand, and your approval will be sought.

  • addition of your logo
  • custom fonts for your headings
  • spruce up your navigation bar (includes adding extra navigation)
  • post split graphic
  • date / title background graphic
  • paginated navigation at the bottom of your posts
  • super cool image navigation on your single post pages
  • favicon installation (is only $5!)
  • twitter installtion
  • about me sliding area
  • centre your images
  • Search engine optimisation
  • stats installation
  • contact form (made all pretty to blend in with your current site!)
  • right click disable
  • background / wallpaper (I’ll even help you design one!)
  • drop shadow – with or without rounded corners (is $50 – requires lots of codey techy fiddling!)
  • upgrade plugins
  • add a plugin to make your blog iphone / mobile friendly
  • install a slideshow option
  • upgrade of your wordpress platform ($40 if you are not already upgraded to at least WP 2.7)

4. make mine a blogsite

Oh yes – blogsites are all the rage.
They are a fabulous idea – excellent for search engine possibilities and can look fabulous on the eye!
It doesn’t take much to whip your blog into blogsite frenzy.

  • You will need to decide if you want to include galleries, and if so – how will you display them. Basically you need to be able to create galleries with some sort of navigation – thumbnails generally work well. There are a few options for this – we can chat about them if you are interested.
  • A quick change up of your navigation bar to include portfolio sites and any other information pages that may be created – such as: About, Pricing, Session Information, a basic client information page, contract and payment pages.
  • To whip your current blog into blogsite frenzy – $120.
    If you are purchasing either a basic (but still gorgeous) blog or a super dooper unique blog – add an extra $85 to the cost.
    Easy peasy.

    5. I’d like to have a Concierge please.

    Having a Concierge does not mean I send you spunky bloke (or chick!) to carry your bags!! theConcierge means getting rid of your paperwork and making the majority of your business online – directing your clients around your business!.
    These are a fabulous paper free way to give your clients all the information they need – at the touch of a button.
    theConcierge sites includes the following:

  • information clients need pertaining to a session with you such as general information pages (pricing lists, policies, about you – the photographer, sessions contract, payment form, client information forms and contact forms) You may use the forms plugin that comes with theConcierge, OR you can use the ever-popular and super easy to use MachForms.
  • AND

  • (here’s the best bit) you can create a SPECIFIC CLIENT AREA FOR EACH OF YOUR CLIENTS! WOWEE – how exciting is that!
  • The special client areas include (and these can only be seen by the specific client):

  • client session details
  • client session slideshow
  • proof information – proofing session time and location, links, ordering forms (if needed)
  • thank-you
  • and whatever else you would like to include!
  • theCOncierge client sites require a whole new installation of wordpress. There are a couple of options for purchase and installation:

    1. You purchase theConcierge package and install yourself – $225

    theConcierge package includes everything you need to get it up and running yourself (including the necessary blank pages created – with titles to start you off – and basic forms – but not the actual content – you can write your own words), and customised to blend in with your current blog / site.

    2. you purchase theConcierge package and I install and customise for you – $325

    As it says – I will install and customise it to match your current blog.

    3. ARGH!!!!!!! – $75

    Okay – so you had a go at installing theConcierge yourself, and you just can’t get it working! Let me set you on the right track again!

    4. you are purchasing either a basic (but still gorgeous) blog or a super dooper unique blog and you want theCpncierge too! – add $150

    Yep – if you are already purchasing a blog{ART} blog – I’ll add theConcierge!

    Give me the words – $75 (coming soon!)

    Okay – so you’ve purchased any of the options above, but you just can’t find the right words and forms etc to add. Fear not – you can start with my words. Makes life a whole lot easier for you – and yes – you can change them to suit yourself if you don’t like the way I babble!

    6. I’d like to sell stuff

    Of course – if you happen to have a fabulous product that you need to sell (whether it be digital or not) – I can install a complete e-commerce solution. This is a wonderful solution for those amazingly creative people that sell actions, templates and other pretty stuff for download. The bonus is – your cusomter can download there product INSTANTLY! None of the waiting game occurs for the customer whilst they await your download, and you – the store-owner (that sounds flash!), do not have to live your life waiting for sales and emailing out files and links. It is all AUTOMGICALLY done for you! Yippee!

    All e-commerce installations include customization to make the store blend in seamlessly with your current blog/site. I will install and customise, and show you how to ‘stock the shelves’ by entering up to four products. You will then be responsible for creating all the product images and entering of the rest of your product.

    Here are the options:

    1. You already have a blog – whether it be a blog{ART} blog or not, or a blogsite and you would like a shop added on. $350.

    As it says – I will add-on a shop front to your existing blog, and make sure it blends in perfectly, update links and navigation, and get your started with selling your product.

    2. You want a basic (but still gorgeous) blog and a shop -$550.
    3. You’d like a super dooper unique blog and a shop – $650.

    6. The whole shebang!

    Hey – that sounds pretty cool! The whole shebang will cost $850 (with a basic but still gorgeous blog) OR $900 (with a super dooper unique blog).
    The whole shebang includes:
    - a blog{ART} blog (either basic but still gorgeous OR super dooper unique blog) / site
    - theConcierge
    - the shopping cart

    Hmmm……. what is next?

    1. If you wish to purchase theConcierge and install it yourself – please purchase!

    2. If you want to utilise any of my other services- you fill out the client information form located here. It will automagically arrive in my inbox, and I will reply to your query ASAP. Please be aware that I – like many fabulous people out there – am not superwoman – as much as I try. I am a one-woman very hard-working show, so I will endeavour to reply to your contact within 24-48 hours. If I don’t – please don’t panic!

    I do have a waiting list – it is great to see that so many photographers are wanting to branch out and have a little piece of individuality on the web. You can check out how long my waiting list is by whipping over to the sidebar on the right!

    Once I receive your information form – I will add you to the list – and give you an approximation of how long your wait will be.

    A week or so out from your turn – I will email you a form to fill out – this will help me to help you, and hopefully make the whole blog{ART} process a whole heap smoother!

    Please note that ‘bits and pieces’ installations may not need to be tacked onto the waiting list – if they are a quick fix – I can often squeeze them in!
