I’m glad you asked! Free blogs are fine – nothing at all wrong with them. BUT – if you want to have full control over your blog design and SEO (that’s search engine optimisation for those not quite in the know’!), hosting your blog on your own server is the way to go. To top it all off – it’s still free! How’s that for a bonus! The WordPress platform is a free script – so if you already own a domain, and have hosting, all it takes is a few click and a little automagic – and VOILA – your very own super dooper blog! When you add content to a blog – you are creating lots of link love – especially if that content contains links. Alos – the more information you add to your blog – in terms of meta tags, meta words and ‘stuff’ – the easier it is for search engines to crawl it – and whack you up the top of the search engine list! Cool huh!
